2016 Louisiana Honey Production Down 1 Percent

Honey production during 2016 from Louisiana producers with five or more colonies totaled 4.30 million pounds, down 1 percent from 2015. There were 50,000 honey producing colonies in 2016, up 6,000 colonies from the previous year.
