Dry Weather Allows Louisiana Cane Planting to Catch Up

Dry weather conditions across Louisiana have allowed sugarcane farmers to make big progress planting cane last week, according to the latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report. The report shows sugarcane planting now 83 percent complete, well ahead of last week’s 57 percent and the five-year average pace of 73 percent.
