USDA Expands Citrus Disease Quarantine Areas in 3 States

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has expanded quarantined areas for citrus greening in California, Texas and Louisiana after the disease was detected in plant tissue samples in multiple locations in the states. The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service added these areas to quarantines: California — Portions of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties; Texas — Kleberg, Kenedy and Webb counties; and Louisiana — Plaquemines and Saint Bernard parishes.
