LSU AgCenter Small Grain Variety Suggestions
Producers are making choices of what small grain varieties they will plant this year across Louisiana. Information concerning variety performance in the LSU AgCenter Official Variety Trials is now available. In 2019, separate trials were grown for entries that are known to be at least five days earlier than the average heading date in north and south Louisiana, based on previous data. This created 'Early' and 'Normal' trials in the Variety Performance trials conducted in northern Louisiana.
