Louisiana Field Reports: Harvest Makes Good Progress

“Scattered showers continued to interrupt field progress. Sugarcane grinding is projected to begin around the end of September. Ripener is being applied to older stubble fields of sugarcane that will be harvested first. Soybean yields are variable with drought impacted fields yielding poorly. Hay producers continue to battle armyworms. Cattle producers are marketing calves.”
