Kennedy's Mission: Stifle North Korea & Open Trade

Speaking on Tuesday from Washington, Kennedy said the mission also included some trade discussions, especially with the Japanese, about Louisiana rice and energy. Japan keeps a high tariff and quotas on rice imports. “We have a great product. The Japanese like it,” Kennedy said. “Quotas they impose are not good for Japan or for the U.S.”
