We'll take an in-depth look at the grain markets with Greg Fox and Mark Tall. Then we go to the Northwest Louisiana Beef and Forage Field Day to discuss the cattle market with Dr. Derrell Peel of Oklahoma State University.

In this first episode of our podcast, we look at the latest news headlines in Louisiana agriculture, including the effect that proposed Chinese tariffs on soybeans will have on Louisiana farmers. We'll talk to Greg Fox with the Louisiana Farm Bureau Marketing Association about the performance of the grain markets over the past week.  We also catch up with Rayburn Smith of Superior Livestock to discuss their upcoming Gulf Coast Classic sale that will be hosted in Natchitoches, Louisiana.  Congressman Ralph Abraham gives us an update on the newly-released 2018 Farm Bill, and Caddo Parish Marty Wooldridge joins us for a look at conditions on his cattle operation in Northwest Louisiana.
