Dry Weather Allows Harvest to Pick Up the Pace

Dry weather allowed Louisiana farmers to get into the fields last week and make progress on the 2019 harvest, according to the latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report released Monday. The report shows soybean harvest now at 23 percent complete, well behind the 38 percent five-year average pace. Cotton harvest is getting started on a very limited basis, with one percent of the cotton now harvested.
