Sugarcane Planting Falling Further Behind

Louisiana sugarcane farmers are struggling to get their 2019 planting done because of frequent rain showers. The latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report released Monday shows cane planting now 29 percent complete. The five-year average pace is 48 percent. Soybean harvest is off to a slow start also, with harvest.
