Rain Slowing Harvest in Many Areas of Louisiana

Rain is causing the Louisiana corn and rice harvest to fall behind the average pace, according to the latest Louisiana Crop Progress and Condition Report released Monday. The report shows corn harvest at 36 percent complete, compared to the five-year average pace of 46 percent. Rice harvest is now 50 percent done, versus the five-year average of 57 percent.
