Jack Dillard: Cotton Crop Looking Good So Far

A trip up and down the Red River Valley will demonstrate that our cotton crop is enjoying the summer weather; in fact we could have an early “first-bale” of cotton the latter part of this month. In the past when some growers made an effort to have the first bale, they would hand pick enough of the early open bolls to accomplish the feat.
