After the U.S. Senate passed its Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 on June 28, the congressional lawmakers are expected to meet soon to iron out differences in the House and Senate legislation.
The House passed its version of the bill, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, on June 21.
Leaders of both the Senate and House Agriculture Committees said they want to convene a Conference Committee soon after they return Monday from the Fourth of July recess. They will begin hammering out differences between their two versions of the bill then.
