Louisiana Chick Placements Down 9 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 2.93 million during the week ending July 15, 2017. Placements were down 9 percent from the comparable week in 2016 and down 7 percent from the previous week.
