Louisiana Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Mike Strain is back in Washington, D.C., today for his second trip to our nation’s capital in the past week.

During his report on the Voice of Louisiana Agriculture Radio Network, Strain said he would be appearing on a panel at the National Press Club today addressing the regulatory environment and the presidential order that for every new regulation passed, two must be removed.

Dr. Strain was in Chicago Monday for a meeting of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture Board of Directors.  Strain serves as president this year of NASDA.

The Commissioner also reminded his listeners the Louisiana House Agriculture Committee will be meeting later today to discuss a number of issues facing the states agriculture industry.  Those hearings can be seen live at:  legis.state.la.us
