Louisiana Chick Placements Down 1 percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 3.23 million during the week ending March 4, 2017. Placements were down 1 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but up 32 percent from the previous week.
