Louisiana Cotton Acreage Highest Since 2012; Wheat Acreage Lowest on Record

Louisiana farmers are expected to plant the largest cotton crop in five years, according to the Louisiana Prospective Plantings Report released Friday.  Soybeans continue to be Louisiana's biggest crop with plantings expected to jump 14 percent to 1.4 million acres.  But wheat acreage continues to drop with farmers planting the smallest wheat crop on record at 20,000 acres.
