Louisiana Chick Placements Up 2 percent From Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 3.06 million during the week ending January 28, 2017. Placements were up 2 percent from the comparable week in 2016 but down 7 percent from the previous week.
