USDA Strikeforce Outreach Events Held Next Week in Many & Coushatta

Campti, LA – Short days and long nights provide a great opportunity to reflect on the year gone by and plan for the one yet to come. Holidays bring family and friends together providing the ideal setting to do some strategic planning. After planning comes implementation and to do so you need resources.

USDA StrikeForce is here to help! Join us in Many, on Tuesday, January 10th, at the Sabine Council on Aging from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  or in Coushatta, on Wednesday, January 11th, at the Red River Council on Aging to hear about the new and improved programs for rural growth and opportunity. The event being hosted by Campti Field of Dreams is free and open to the public and will have USDA representatives from Natural Resources Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency and Rural Development onsite to provide information on their programs.

Are you planning to:

·       Start, improve, expand, transition, market or strengthen your farm or ranching operation?

·       Develop, improve, expand or transition to value-added, direct sale, organic or a specialty crop operation?

If so, join us to learn more about the new programs available to assist you. “Whether you measure your farm in terms of feet or acres, FSA and NRCS have technical and financial assistance as well as other resources to help you improve your operation while benefitting the environment,” said Dexter Sapp, NRCS StrikeForce Coordinator for the State of Louisiana.

·       Finance your rural business or economic development initiative?

USDA Rural Development will discuss their loan and grant programs available to assist you.

Refreshments will be served! Sponsored by the Red River Mill Credit Union, representatives will be onsite to discuss their programs to Break the Payday Loan Cycle and assist with Wheels to Work. Start the New Year off right, armed with the information you need to turn your plan into a success story!
