Louisiana Chick Placements Up 9 percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 3.32 million during the week ending January 14, 2017. Placements were up 9 percent from the comparable week in 2016 and up 2 percent from the previous week.
