Louisiana Farm Women Strengthen Louisiana Agriculture

Add nine women from Lafourche and Assumption Parishes who have now completed Annie's Project, which is designed to empower farm and ranch women to manage information systems used in critical decision making processes and to build local networks.

Graduation ceremonies were held at the LSU AgCenter Assumption Parish office in Napoleonville. Annie's Project targets farm and ranch women who have a passion for involvement and business.

The five week class was sponsored by First South Farm Credit, American Sugar Cane League, the LSU AgCenter, Capital Resource, Conservation and Development and Acadiana Resource, Conservation and Development as well as the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
