Louisiana Chick Placements Down 7 Percent from Last Year

Broiler-type chicks placed for meat production in Louisiana were 2.99 million during the week ending December 3, 2016. Placements were down 7 percent from the comparable week in 2015 but up 5 percent from the previous week.
