Current Drought May be a Good Thing for Louisiana Farmers

Louisiana’s current drought may benefit the state’s agriculture industry more than it hurts it, says LSU agricultural economics professor Kurt Guidry. Guidry says an unusually wet summer—with the August flood and saturating rains—hurt production for many farmers, who are breathing a sigh of relief for now.
