LSU AgCenter Eyes Land Leases on Research Stations

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU AgCenter plans to lease land on two of its research stations during 2017. The Northeast Research Station near St. Joseph is looking at leasing approximately 80 acres. The Dean Lee Research and Extension Center near Alexandria expects to lease about 80 acres in addition to 107 acres already leased.

Recent Severe Storms Damage Crawfish Stock (with video)

LAKE CHARLES - It's been a week since Southwest Louisiana was severely flooded by heavy rains. Crawfish farmers are paying a heavy price. Jody Galley is the owner and operator of Galley Crawfish, a crawfish farm in Pine Island. He said no crawfish farmers in the state were prepared for the rain that drenched Southwest Louisiana.

Several AgCenter Personnel Take Over Levy's Duties
