“All the major tractor manufacturers participated including Case IH, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland and others,” said Strain.

Several leaders of farm organizations drove the tractors including key official of the American Farm Bureau, American Soybean Association, US Farmers & Ranchers and the National Pork Producers Council.

On another matter, Strain attended the Louisiana Veterinary Association’s annual continuing education meeting Friday in Baton Rouge.

“We discussed regulatory affairs and all areas that affect the so-called field vets,” Strain said. “What to look for and discussing all the different programs offered by the state.  We also talked about the Veterinary Feed Directive, Asian Influenza, equine herpes and all the different diseases facing vets to help protect animals and humans.”
