Louisiana Urban Agriculture Workshop Slated

The Louisiana Natural Resources Conservation Service will be holding an urban agriculture information and eligibility workshop next week.

According to Dexter Sapp, U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service Resources StrikeForce Coordinator for Louisiana, the program will run from 9:30 to 11 o'clock the morning of Saturday October 29th at the St. Roch Community Church, 1738 St. Roch Avenue in New Orleans.

Presentations on how to grow your own produce, how to extend the growing season, how to get a Farm Services Agency number as well as resources available locally will be given by NRCS local Louisiana staff FSA local Louisiana staff and the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund Staff.
